The Marias In the Desert!

 Hello first time writing a blog!

For my first blog I would like to about my favorite band ever since 2017 which are called 

THE MARIAS!!!!!!

I have seen them twice and it was during their Submarine tour Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 but part 2 was more of my favorite because of the vibe and venue. 

This band has been my favorite ever since then, there were my number #1 spot on the Apple Music for couple years and my favorite song from them is Over The Moon. 

"There's nothing better, I'd rather do, I'm lost completely, I might as well be over the moon"



When they came back for their second tour of Submarine it was in Tucson, Arizona during the summer which wasn't the best weather for an outside venue. But overall the way the stage was set up and it being played at night it fit the vibe of the music and the voice of the lead singer. The way her voice sound live was enchanting and beautiful since the music in my opinion sounds better when live played. 

The Marias have made 2 Albums, few eps, and a single songs which represented her live and the experiences she had while also songs being about her loved ones and experiences and she even used her dog to sample. Which was funny when I found out. I have few things signed by them and have merchandise and vinyl records of the their lifetime. 

During the concert it was beautiful and each song sounded beautiful with the lead singers voice and here the thing the singer's name is Maria. So that means that band was named after her but as well she did a solo project Not For Radio. Overall I would love to see them again and hopefully meet at the band members and get a photo with them.

  What game did you play?      The video game I played today is Pokemon Go which is moblie game that tracks your movement with AR. Pokemon Go is location based moblie game which make its fun and really moviates me to go out whether it be the mall, park, or when I have to run errands. The gamplay is kind of simple which requires you to walk for a bit and random pokemon will pop out to be ready to be captured. To catch these pokemon you have to click on them and given pokeballs to throw at the pokemon to catch it and once you're successful it'll be yours and resigetered on the Pokédex. Overall this moblie game actually makes you into Pokemon trainer and movitaes to go out and meet other people who are also playing.  What game genre does your game fall into? Pokemon Go falls under into at least 4 genres which are RPG, Adventure, Fitness, and Location-based. Rosetta? Who is That?

 Woah! This Ted Talk was so interesting about this stone called the Rosetta.  Since the Rosetta Stone was discovered in 1799 by the French military becasue they invaded Egypt and was casually just sitting on the outskirts of Rashid. On the stone it had three different sections of text which included Hieroglyphics, Demotic, and Greek and it took awhile to cipher these sections of the Rosetta Stone. Furthermore, these texts were basically from oldest to newest onto the Rosetta Stone with the Hieroglyphics being the oldest on the Stone and it clearly shows Civilization had knowledge and language was changing.  Then later on in 1802 when the English received the Rosetta Stone it was on display but soon after there was three decoders that help to decode the Stone and there names were Thomas Young, Johan Åkerblad, and Jean-Francois Champollen.
